 Radiator Flush & Fill
What is a Radiator Flush and Fill Service?
Because it is vital that your car's cooling system perform
efficiently, the radiator should be serviced regularly. During the 20 to
30 minute service:
- The cooling system will be checked to identify any leaks.
- Rust, corrosion and contaminated engine coolant will be removed
- The cooling system will be refilled with the appropriate ratio of
water and anti-freeze/coolant to protect against freezing, boil-over
and corrosion.
What are the benefits of a Radiator Flush and Fill Service?
Your car's engine cooling system will operate at the correct
temperature and avoid the delays, expense and frustration of a radiator
boil-over or winter freeze-up. In addition, anti-freeze contains
additives that:
- Protect the metal surfaces of the radiator, heater core and engine
block against rust and corrosion.
- Lubricate the water pump.
- Minimize foaming within the system allowing the cooling system to
operate at optimum efficiency.
How often should a Radiator Flush and Fill Service be
performed?
Grease Monkey recommends that you have the radiator flush and filled
in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended service intervals.
Generally that is every 24-36 months or as special circumstances
require.
